Make play a powerful influence in the design of public space
By providing children with tools and raw materials and supporting them to make their ideas reality the process of making becomes play and play becomes an activity alive with possibilities.

It is important to us that children make things they can actually use. We empower children to understand that decisions they take and things they create have value across our society.
We take a holistic approach to designing our projects. This means we do not just create objects in isolation, hand them over and move on, we design the whole service.
Even when it is adults doing a task we try, wherever possible, to facilitate the children to be present so that they can still be part of the creation so that no part of production is a mystery.
Children under 5 never stop learning! Using lots of different textures and materials we add to a child’s wider understanding of the world and their ability to navigate it as they grow older.
Fundamental to everything we do is the belief that children are a valuble part of our society who are capable of making design decisions about the spaces they inhabit
‘Children need the freedom to appreciate the infinite resources of their hands, their eyes and their ears, the resources of forms, materials, sounds and colours.’
